Business Development Lead (Healthcare)

Saltgrass Advisory ™ partners with health systems, payers, and AI-native health tech to turn evidence into adoption. We’re looking for a BD Lead who can open doors, shape offers, and close strategic engagements across the healthcare ecosystem.

 

What you’ll do

  • Own the BD funnel: source, qualify, and advance opportunities with health systems, payers, and category-leading vendors

  • Build and manage executive relationships (CIO, CMIO, CMO, CFO, VP Population Health, Innovation, Network)

  • Craft proposals and scopes with our advisory and data/AI teams; negotiate MSAs/SOWs to close

  • Drive partnerships that de-risk commercialization for AI/analytics solutions (pilots, data access, reimbursement pathways, contracting)

  • Maintain a rigorous pipeline and forecast; report on KPIs and learning loops

 

What you’ve done

  • 7+ years in healthcare BD/partnerships, enterprise sales, or growth at a consultancy or health tech company

  • A strong network across providers, payers, and/or PBMs; you’ve sold into complex, multi-stakeholder environments

  • Fluency in value-based care, clinical workflows, data rights/privacy, and health-economic outcomes

  • Track record of hitting targets on six- and seven-figure engagements

 

Nice to have

  • Experience structuring pilots and measurable outcomes with large health systems

  • Familiarity with AI/ML use cases in care delivery, operations, rev cycle, or quality

  • Comfort working in an entrepreneurial, hands-on environment

 

Success in 90 days looks like

  • 20–30 qualified exec conversations, 6–10 active opportunities, and 2–4 signed scopes or pilots
